Life style environment i.e. things, matter, style related to our life style has been altering with the rapidly changing era. At the Department Of Human life we learn and approach life style environment which is necessary for our life, from a diverse and broad perspective. In the process, we aim to investigate factors that will assist us in pursuing a more comfortable, fulfilling and enriched life style. Considering the extremely large scale environmental changes that have taken place in our world it seeks to create and practice a life style which is in harmony with the eco system. This area of study helps to cultivate a life style that meets the needs of the present and support the growth of talent; this can be achieved by creating a balance between life style and ecosystem. This involves determining a way to generate scientifically, a “symbiosis”, keyword of the 21st century.
Because this department offers a wide array of courses, the students will have ample opportunities to take a leap towards success after graduation. Thus, it may be said that this department is full of possibilities.

In Human Life Department, one learns about practical knowledge and skills that can be utilized in the future by approaching clothing, food, living environment, family relationships, life style management, consumer lifestyle, life style engineering, life style information, natural environment from a broader perspective. In the world today, we are faced with various challenges such as aging, destruction of life style environment and social welfare problems. We therefore, have designed a flexible curriculum which stimulates the interest of student in their preferred individual field of study as well as caters to various needs of the society. Furthermore, we have a comprehensive system that can facilitate the acquisition of various qualifications thus supporting the students leap towards success, in anticipation of the fact that much will be expected of her after graduation. In addition, not only limited to the necessary knowledge and expertise we also provide beneficial lectures such as study of human relationships, family relationship etcetera Students also strive to learn about the concept of “territory of the heart,” and the curriculum facilitates to develop in them leadership skills in variety of domains such as education, local community, society, and home.

Research about eating place environment and its impact on people

As stated above, my research deals with the environment of the eating place and how it affects a person’s psychology and personality such as feeling stressed. Since our seminar class comprises of a very few student, we can share our research with others and their inputs and various point of views help to expand the research further as well as add depth to it. The talks delivered by different food companies have been an invaluable experience also. Through it, I became familiar with the fact that social corporate responsibility is an important aspect of corporations.

It nurtures in students the ability to think and enhance communication skills.

In human life department, the students can research their area of specialty meanwhile contemplating upon life style with a broad perspective and acquiring the required knowledge and expertise. In the third year students learn about fundamental research methods and examining the theme closely, they investigate and look for a method suitable to their premise, the exercise consequently results in deepening their research understanding. At the end of 4th year, the students organize their research progress and present it as a graduation thesis.
Nishida’a seminar class deals with themes related to eating habits such as food education, food character and nutritional value etcetera. The students are given confidence to explore about questions that arise during the process of knowledge acquisition, discuss with fellow students and find a way to get to the bottom of the problem. Hence, through this procedure it is expected that it inculcates in the student the ability to organize, communicate and present the knowledge acquired.
Since the number of students in the seminar class is generally very small, we can not only support them in aspects related to studies but also those dealing with various other issues such as campus life and job hunting.

Cloth Sewing and Designing I

The goal of this study is to teach the students to put to use the skills and expertise acquired by sewing a semi tight skirt using clothing pattern theory, they would be taught to draw in accordance with the measurements of the lower half body and learn the technique of fixing it accordingly. Keeping in view the fact, that, in order to become a certified teacher in this field one requires taking a practical examination; this course combines fundamental skill learning with practical application of that knowledge.

Course in House planning II

The aim of this course is to cultivate among the students an understanding of the fundamentals of residence planning and to teach them house planning design. They learn to draw house plan including the ground plane, elevation, cross section and other details meanwhile acquiring the skills and expertise in high precision house planning and designing.

To deepen the understanding attained during sitology course further, we will conduct real fundamental and related experiment. Students will need to compose a report on knowledge acquired about basic things such as reagent, usage of instruments and experiments related to food analysis, food ingredients and hygiene.

The rationale of this study is to inculcate in students the concern for life issues related to family and society and stimulate them to develop the ability to analyze it objectively and think subjectively. It is expected that during the four years the student will enhance their abilities pertaining to such issues.

Pertaining to the domain of food, we help to create more awareness about food culture through table manners. The students will gain knowledge and detail of cooking and will learn about and pay attention to things such as food ingredients and utensils. Since this course leads to practical learning, it is very popular among students.
